NUNS, the play
Sisters with bad habits
Bongs, chain smoking, liquor, sex tapes, blackmail and a desire to change the the system. No, it's not a college, it's a convent!
Three corrupt nuns use blackmail and foul play in an effort to change the patriarchy to which they have devoted their lives. With the use of an illicit sex tape starring none other than Mother Superior herself, the kinked chain of events begins to unfold.
Nuns had a fantastic run at The Tristan Bates Theatre 15th-26th January 2019 with a nearly completely sold out run. Our journey began when Dutch Dame’s Natalya and Cecile called out for a Producer. So we met to have coffee and began discussing what felt like a dream back then; nuns. It was their first production and credit out of Actors Temple and they wanted to make their professional debut a good one. That to me couldn’t have sounded any more She’s Diverse, so I was eager to be a part of the project. The journey of creating a show began!
We rehearsed at The Old Diorama Arts Centre, thanks to their amazing Associate Artists Programme and at the LSMM- London School of Media Make Up- the students did all the make up for the show.
